About 5CNC
We support projects where CAD must become usable, physical geometry — for mould making, forming, production support and large‑format prototyping.
Our focus is predictable delivery and clear hand‑off: stable geometry, sensible surface routes and outputs that fit real manufacturing workflows.
- CNC support for models, tooling and production aids
- Practical hand‑off aligned with downstream processes
- Large‑format capability with planned segmentation
- Clear communication and predictable delivery
What we do
5CNC is built around execution. We take customer data and deliver physical parts that help you move a project forward — whether you are preparing tooling, validating a design or improving production repeatability.
We keep scope and deliverables clear. That makes quoting faster, reduces back‑and‑forth and keeps outcomes consistent across revisions.
Core capabilities
Our work sits between design intent and production reality. We support the CNC stage with decisions that make the next step smoother.
If you are not sure what route is appropriate, we can recommend a practical approach based on the application and surface expectation.
- 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC machining for complex geometry
- Large builds with segmentation, keys and assembly logic
- Plugs/masters for composite mould workflows
- Thermoforming bucks and production patterns
Materials we work with
We machine a defined range of non‑metal model and tooling materials and aluminium. The material route is chosen for stability, surface finish and lifecycle.
Foams (EPS/XPS) are used for large mock‑ups and cores, not for thermoforming bucks or mould tooling surfaces.
- MDF for many thermoforming bucks, templates and masters
- Tooling board for stable, higher‑detail surfaces
- Epoxy tooling paste routes for hard skins on large cores
- Aluminium for selected fixtures and interfaces
How we approach machining
We prioritise what matters for the application: fit, surface and usability in the next process step. The machining strategy follows those priorities.
For large parts, we plan the build so it can be transported, assembled and handled without compromising geometry.
- Surface intent agreed early
- Segmentation planned for transport and assembly
- Practical references where downstream work depends on them
- Packaging aligned with surface sensitivity
Finishing hand‑off
Depending on the project, parts can be delivered as‑machined or prepared for your finishing route. The key is agreeing the acceptance level early.
We focus on a clean hand‑off that helps you avoid rework and reach production sooner.
- Deliverables aligned with your finishing and mould workflows
- Edge preparation for handling where needed
- Clear next‑step guidance without unnecessary complexity
Working with us
Most projects start with a short exchange: application, size, surface expectation and files. We confirm the scope and return with a clear quotation.
If revisions are expected, we can structure the work to keep updates consistent and predictable.

What you can expect
- Clear scope, timelines and deliverable definition
- Parts ready for the next step in your workflow
- Support when files need practical preparation
- Predictable communication across revisions
Tell us what you need to build
If you have a 3D model, send it with a short note about the intended use. We will confirm the most practical route and provide a clear quote. If you are still deciding, describe the project goal and constraints. We will recommend options that balance surface, stability and cost.
